September 1-25 – Explore the Virtual Exhibit

Come into the Gallery to view all works on display.

The Newark Arts Alliance starts its’ Fall season with the art exhibit called “The Nature of Things” which features the artwork of three local artists, Debbie Hegedus, Rowena Macleod and Caroline Beck, which will be on display from September 1-25 at the Newark Arts Alliance. This group show features paintings, sculptures and mixed media artwork all with a focus on landscapes, both real and imagined. The common theme is “nature” and how these three artists interpret their landscapes is where the transformation happens. The viewer will find solace in the images, as one does in nature, now more than ever as most people spend an increasing amount of time indoors on rectangular devices. One can look to nature for common ground in an increasingly polarized society.

These three artists share a long history of creating art while teaching in both public and private schools for over 25 years. Together they pay homage to intricate and threatened relationships in the natural world hoping that viewers will be reminded of how wondrous the earth is and perhaps feel inspired to keep it that way. The work will be on display during regular gallery hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 12:00-4:00pm and Thursday, 4:00-7:00pm. There will not be an opening for this show due to Covid-19 limitations.
