Jaslyn Jacobs (Visual Arts, ages 7-8): Jaslyn Jacobs is returning to Camp Imagine as a Visual Arts Instructor. She is an art teacher at Painting with a Twist in Newark, where she teaches art classes for children and adults. Previously, she was an art teacher for Creative Works in Philadelphia, where she helped children with physical and mental disabilities create artwork. Jaslyn has a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design from Hussian School of Art, Philadelphia.
Carol Maurer (Visual Arts, ages 9-10): Carol Maurer has an M.Ed from Temple University and is an artist, yarn bomber, and labyrinth facilitator. She was the artist-in-residence at Stubbs Elementary School (Spring 2016) and Penn London Elementary School (Spring 2015). In 2015, she presented a solo show at the Delaware Contemporary, was a featured book artist at The Baltimore Book Festival, and juried the Newark Arts Alliance’s “Paper/Fiber” show.
Cary Fentzloff (Visual Arts, ages 11-12): Cary Fentzloff is returning to Camp Imagine as a Visual Arts Instructor. She has been teaching art in the elementary school setting for 11 years. She is currently the art teacher at Olive B. Loss Elementary in the Appoquinimink School District. She received a BA in Art Education from Towson University and a MA in Gifted Instruction from Wilmington University.
Tania Potts (Dance, all ages): Tania Orlowsky-Potts is returning to Camp Imagine as our Dance Educator. Tania maintains the Dance Master’s of America accreditation for Ballet and Jazz education and continues to keep her training fresh in ballet, tap, and jazz disciplines throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Recent choreography and educational projects include: Providence Creek Ballet Theater (PCBT), Padua Academy Theater, Spotlight Cabaret, God’s Power and Light Co., Ursuline Academy, and Child Drama Workshops.
Lori Citro (Singing, all ages): Lori Citro teaches piano and voice at Sanford School and also at Music & Arts on Kirkwood Highway. She is also a local singer/songwriter and she accompanies for musical theater. Before working at Sanford, she taught pre-K through K music at Marshallton Methodist preschool. Lori received a Delaware Division of Arts individual artist fellowship for solo performance in 2007.
Cheryl Shields (Theater, all ages): Cheryl Shields is a theatrical and technical director as well as a theatrical educator who has produced over 75 drama and musical shows, ranging from children’s theater to Broadway-style productions. She is currently the drama teacher for the Towle Institute in Wilmington, and she has also taught drama at MOT Charter School and New Covenant Christian School.
