Saturday, Feb. 27, 7pm-8pm | Free reception to follow

A group of authors will read from their works featured in the anthology Currents: Selected Poetry & Prose from the 2014 Cape Henlopen Retreat Writers. In October 2014, 20 poets and prose writers selected by the Delaware Division of the Arts attended a four-day writing retreat at Cape Henlopen, led by Alice Elliott Dark and JoAnn Balingit. Writings from that retreat were collected and published in Currents. Each reader will read for approximately 5 minutes, and Maria Masington will be the emcee for the reading. A free reception with light fare and drinks will follow.

Our readers will be:

Prose:  Joseph Crossen, Robert Hambling Davis, and Tery Griffin

Poetry:  Phillip Bannowsky, maria keane, Jane Miller, and Shannon Connor Winward

This event at the NAA is part of a literary reading series that will feature authors at historical and art sites throughout the state. Future venues include the Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes; the New Castle Court House Museum in Old New Castle; and the John Dickinson Plantation in Dover.
